Financial Management

TRALSO is committed to sound administration and accountability to its funders.

It accomplishes this via following practices:

  • Separate bank accounts for each major donor are maintained for different TRALSO programmes and/or projects. This facilitates oversight management and expedites reporting
  • Signatories are drawn from both TRALSO and independent auditors
  • Donor-tailored financial reports are produced quarterly and/or bi-annually depending on donor requirements
  • PDB Pretorius Dondashe, a registered chartered accounting and auditing firm based in East London audits TRALSO’s books annually.

Funders

When initially establishment in 1990, TRALSO relied totally on donor funding for all of its programmes. Since 2001, at least 10% of funds have come from service fees for government contracts and tenders, where TRALSO has provided invaluable input gained from its grassroots operations.
